Navid Milani is the founder and CEO of NM Engineering. Navid has accomplished an impressive career, spanning over 19 years of professional engineering experience. He created a successful engineering business in Iran, that extended into Abu Dhabi. After spending 3 years in the UAE, he wanted to expand his business portfolio beyond the Middle East. Navid decided to venture all the way to Canada in 2010, and received his Master’s Degree of Mechanical Engineering and Design Certificate from the University of Waterloo. Soon after, he obtained his Professional Engineering status in the Province of Ontario. Since then, Navid has been responsible for some of the most complex designs and installations of tuned-mass dampers (TMDs) for skyscrapers ranging from 200 – 850 metric tons. He has professionally stamped some of the most impressive tuned-mass dampers for skyscrapers in the Middle East, Taiwan, and right here in North America; more specifically, in New York City. After all his success, it seemed only natural for Navid to enter a whole new chapter in his life and endeavor to create his own company, NM Engineering.
Established in 2017, NM Engineering has quickly become a quiet competitor in damper design, fabrication, and installation, but also a trusted expert in elite structural and machine design. Navid undertook the task of installing his first ever damper in Montreal, Quebec, as an independent contractor. This damper was designed and fabricated by GERB. Only his extensive knowledge and expertise gained over the years has allowed him the confidence to tackle such rewarding challenges.
Navid is the official Representative of GERB in Canada. GERB is an engineering and manufacturing company, with headquarters in Germany and the USA. Navid has managed to add this well-deserved achievement to his ever-growing portfolio.
